Hailee Steinfeld in Apple TV's Dickinson Trailer

Hailee Steinfeld Channels Her Romantic Inner Rebel in Apple TV's Dickinson Trailer

Hailee Steinfeld is channelling her inner Emily Dickinson in Apple TV+'s newest comedy series, and by the looks of the trailer, she's ready to have some seriously "wild nights."

A 19th century coming-of-age story with a modern tone, Dickinson stars Steinfeld as the iconic American poet as she goes against her family's wishes to become a "proper young lady" and pushes back against the constraints of society and gender in her everyday life. "I have one purpose and that is to become a great writer," Steinfeld says in the trailer, which she is executive producing alongside screenwriter Alena Smith.

The series will also feature Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Jane Krakowski as Dickinson's mother, Toby Huss as her father Edward Dickinson, Anna Baryshn as Dickinson's sister Lavinia, and Ella Hunt as Sue Gilbert, Dickinson's love interest. Friday Night Lights star Matt Lauria and Dasha Nekrasova will also have recurring roles in the series, which is expected to premiere soon after Apple TV+'s debut this Fall.
