Alicia Keys [1] has been a fixture at the Grammy Awards [2] for nearly two decades now, ever since she burst onto the scene in 2002. This year, she's set to host the ceremony, and she's clearly having a blast in this low-pressure role if her epic "Shallow" video [3] is anything to go by! Keys is a fantastic choice to host the Grammys, given just how many times she's stepped onto the stage as a winner.

Ready for this? Keys has won a grand total of 15 Grammys over the course of her career so far [4]! Her first award came way back in 2002, when she snagged the coveted best new artist award [5], plus song of the year, record of the year, best R&B song, and best female R&B performance for "Fallin'." She returned to music's biggest stage in 2005 with several nominations off her album The Diary of Alicia Keys [6]; ultimately, she won best R&B album, plus best female R&B performance for "If I Ain't Got You," best R&B song for "You Don't Know My Name," and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for "My Boo," a collaboration with Usher [7].

Keys again won best R&B song and best female R&B performance in 2008, this time for her hit "Unbreakable." She won the latter award two years in a row, with her 2009 song "Superwoman" taking home the same prize the following year. In 2011, "Empire State of Mind," featuring Jay-Z [8], won Keys the awards for best rap song and best rap/sung collaboration.

Her most recent Grammy win was back in 2014, when her album Girl on Fire took home the award for best R&B album. Keys hasn't been nominated on her own since, although she did share in Girl's 2015 album of the year nomination as a featured artist. While she's not nominated this year, either, we're excited to watch her take the stage in a different context as the host of the Grammy Awards [9] on Sunday night!
