Here's What the Cast of Incredibles 2 Looks Like Next to Their Animated Characters

14/06/2018 - 02:17 PM

After 14 long years, the sequel to The Incredibles [1] is finally here (fun fact: just typing that sentence made all the hair on my head turn grey). While the heroic characters in Incredibles 2 [2] haven't aged or changed a bit, their real-life counterparts have been up to quite a lot since the original Disney Pixar movie hit cinemas. From recognisable faces (er, voices?) like Craig T. Nelson and Samuel L. Jackson [3], to new additions Catherine Keener and Bob Odenkirk (who play a devious new duo for the Parrs to take on, FYI), this is everyone who you'll hear when you check out the sequel next month!

Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elastigirl

Holly Hunter

The slight Southern drawl you hear every time the Parr matriarch opens her mouth is from the Georgia-born Holly Hunter, who's been in everything from Broadcast News to last year's rom-com hit The Big Sick.

Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible

Craig T. Nelson

Bob trades in his supersuit for a dish towel in the sequel, but despite his big life change, he's still being voiced by Craig T. Nelson. The 74-year-old has had memorable turns in The Family Stone, Parenthood, and Poltergeist.

Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr

Sarah Vowell

Born in Oklahoma and raised in Montana, Sarah Vowell is perhaps best known for her segments on This American Life, which she's been contributing to since 1996. In addition to the Incredibles films, the 48-year-old has also voiced Violet in a number of Disney video games.

Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone

Samuel L. Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson [5] has this whole superhero thing covered, huh? In addition to rocking a supersuit in Incredibles 2, he plays Nick Fury in Marvel's Avengers franchise.

Huck Milner as Dash

Huck Milner

Meet Huck Milner! Voicing Dashiell "Dash" Parr is the young actor's first acting role (the character was played by Spencer Fox in the original).

Bob Odenkirk as Winston Deavor

Bob Odenkirk

Pixar did a great job of making the Better Call Saul actor look like his animated counterpart, huh?

Catherine Keener as Evelyn Deavor

Catherine Keener

Catherine Keener took a break from hypnotizing people in Get Out to play Evelyn, and we can't possibly imagine the character with a different voice.

Sophia Bush as Voyd

Sophia Bush

The Chicago P.D. and One Tree Hill alum joined the Disney Pixar fold to play Voyd, one of the newest additions to the animated superhero franchise.

Brad Bird as Edna Mode

Brad Bird

Brad Bird not only directed both of the Incredibles movies, but he also provides the snide, nasally voice of beloved supersuit designer Edna Mode.
