Will Jamie Dornan Do Another Fifty Shades Movie?

Jamie Dornan Is Done With the Fifty Shades Movies: "I'm Getting Too Old For This"

Jamie Dornan is saying laters, baby to the Fifty Shades franchise.

With the third instalment in Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele's BDSM love story, Fifty Shades Freed, opening in cinemas on Friday, many fans are finding it hard to accept the idea that the movies might be over. The books that they're based on, written by author E.L. James, are told from Anastasia's perspective and end with three. James also rewrote Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker looking through Christian's eyes, but they're still essentially the same core story as the originals. In other words, Ana and Christian's relationship has reached its natural . . . climax, you might say.

During an interview on ITV's Lorraine on Monday, host Lorraine Kelly got to the bottom of speculation about more films with Dornan, asking if Fifty Shades Freed would be the "last one."

"Um yeah, I think so," the 35-year-old actor said. "I don't think there's any . . . I mean there aren't other books. [James] wrote the first two books again from Christian's perspective, but I guess we've already seen . . . we've done those films, the same story, so they won't do that again."

The last film in the trilogy will reportedly have more sex in it than either of the previous two, and also more of a thriller vibe thanks to a kidnapping plot. It will likely be an exciting conclusion to the campy series, but we wouldn't put it past the Hollywood powers that be to dream up some kind of spinoff. Although Dornan wasn't able to speak on behalf of costar Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia, the married father of two cited a pretty honest reason for wanting to hang up his "wee-bag."

"Unless Erica keeps writing, Dakota and I are . . . particularly me, I'm getting too old for . . . for this."
