ABC's cancellation of the Roseanne reboot [1] came swiftly after Roseanne Barr posted her (now-deleted) racist tweets about Barack Obama's former White House adviser, Valerie Jarrett. As news of the show's cancellation spread, stars began responding [2], including Jimmy Kimmel on his late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live [3].
Kimmel began by addressing Barr's horrific tweet head-on, explaining that her sentiments did not "sit well with ABC management, or anyone with a brain." While he jokes about the show's cancellation, he also expresses some seemingly genuine worries about ABC doing away with their top-performing show, since Jimmy Kimmel Live and Roseanne [4] are both housed by the network. Never fear, Kimmel provides a solution he thinks "makes this work for everyone." Check out the video above to see Kimmel's proposed answer. Spoiler: John Goodman would have to put in some extra hours.
