Kacey Musgraves Wins Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammys

History Repeating: Kacey Musgraves Wins the Exact Same Grammys as Taylor Swift in 2010

Kacey Musgraves had a pretty monumental night at the Grammys on Sunday. The talented "Rainbow" singer managed to take home all four awards she was nominated for, including album of the year. Not only was it a huge accomplishment for the 30-year-old, but it also marked the first album of the year win by a country artist since Taylor Swift. In 2010, the country-turned-pop singer took home her very first album of the year win for Fearless.

Interestingly enough, Musgraves won the exact same Grammys as Swift did. During the 2010 ceremony, Swift took home album of the year, best country album for Fearless, as well as best country song and best female country vocal performance for "White Horse." This year, Musgraves won album of the year, best country album for Golden Hour, best country song for "Space Cowboy," and best country solo performance for "Butterflies." The latter award combines the previous categories for best female country vocal performance, best male country vocal performance, and best country instrumental performance, making Musgraves and Swift's wins identical. See their record-breaking wins for album of the year, side by side, ahead.
