The L Word: Generation Q Teaser Trailer

Shane, Bette, and Alice Are Back in First Trailer For The L Word: Generation Q

One of your favourite TV girl gangs is heading back to the small screen. On Thursday, a decade after The L Word ended its five-season run on Showtime in 2009, the network released the first official trailer for the show's reboot, The L Word: Generation Q.

Like the version that came before it, The L Word: Generation Q will centre on the personal lives of a group of queer women living in Los Angeles. In addition to some all-new faces being introduced to the series, a handful of the show's original characters will be making appearances as well.

The new show's minute-long teaser opens with original character Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals) announcing her plans to run for mayor of Los Angeles, and later shows glimpses of other OGs Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig) and Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) stepping off a private plane and speaking to a talk show audience, respectively. We also get glimpses of several new characters, though it's not yet clear how they're connected to the originals. Guess we'll find out when it premieres on Showtime on Dec. 8.
