Lea Michele [1] is already preparing for her role as Ariel in the Hollywood Bowl's live performance [2] of The Little Mermaid [3]. During Disney night on American Idol [4], the former Glee star gave a dazzling performance of "Part of Your World" on stage. Wearing a mermaid-esque jumpsuit, Michele sounded just like a Disney princess as she belted the lyrics to iconic song alongside a few American Idol contestants.

The 32-year-old singer will play the magical mermaid alongside Harvey Fierstein, Cheech Marin, Peter Gallagher, and more stars for two performances on May 17 and 18 [5] in celebration of the film's 30th anniversary. The Hollywood Bowl previously put on a live production of the Disney movie [6] back in 2016 with Sara Bareilles as the title character and Michele's former Glee star Darren Criss as Prince Eric. If Michele's recent performance is any indication, she's going to crush it as Ariel!
