M. Night Shyamalan, James McAvoy, and Sarah Paulson Debunk MAJOR Glass Fan Theories

By now, if you've seen Glass, then you know how this 20-year saga plays out: basically, it's a big old mess. Not only does the film have a hard time tying up all the disparate loose threads from the previous two, but it also introduces a handful of new mysteries that don't get solved in the end. Like, what's the deal with those three-leaf clovers?! And doesn't that complex and confusing ending seem more like a set-up for more movies rather than a resounding conclusion? As it turns out, I wasn't the only one scratching my head and puzzling through the enigmatic film.

In the wake of the release, the internet seems to have flooded with all kinds of new theories about the universe, the film, and the potential franchise. Plenty of fans, mostly on Reddit, threw their hat into the ring in hopes they'd be able to detect writer-director M. Night Shyamalan's genius final twist. And, well, let's just say the ideas aren't holding much . . . water. Case in point: Vanity Fair recently corralled Shyamalan and two of his stars, James McAvoy and Sarah Paulson, to sift through some of the internet's wild ideas. And let's just say there were more giggles than raised eyebrows.

All joking aside, there were a couple moments in which Shyamalan seemed impressed by the internet's great detectives. Dare we say he got an idea or two for his next great mystery?
