Here We Go Again — Mamma Mia! Is Returning to Theatres For Its 10th Anniversary
Grab your karaoke mics, because Mamma Mia! is returning to theatres in celebration of it's 10-year anniversary! In a two-day event, over 400 theatres across the country will show the original 2008 film, allowing fans to come and relish in the movie's charm and delight. Screenings will take place on Nov. 4 and 6, and tickets are available for purchase online at FathomEvents.com or at participating theatre box offices.
The film takes place on a Greek island where hotelier Donna Sheridan-Carmichael (Meryl Streep) lives with her 20-year-old daughter Sophie Sheridan (Amanda Siefried). Sophie is engaged and planning for her wedding, but wants her father to walk her down the aisle. She doesn't know exactly who her father is, but narrows it down to three men before inviting them all to the wedding to find out which one is her real dad. Although it's been 10 years since Meryl Streep and Amanda Siefried danced their way into our lives in Mamma Mia!, the movie still holds a special place in the hearts of many fans. Even the sequel, Mamma Mia 2 left everyone wanting more. But it's hard to beat the original, so get ready to belt out some of your favourite ABBA classics when Mama Mia! returns to theatres.
