Based on the Teaser, Emma Stone and Jonah Hill's Maniac Should Be a Real Hoot

Jonah Hill and Emma Stone have a stone-faced staring contest in the first teaser for Netflix's Maniac. Based on a Norwegian series of the same name, the limited series, directed by Cary Fukunaga, follows two strangers with varying mental health issues as they participate in an experimental pharmaceutical trial. No problems should arise whatsoever!

Maniac will mark the first on-screen reunion for Hill and Stone since previously starring together in 2007's Superbad. Premiering on Sept. 21, the star-studded series will also feature Sally Field, Justin Theroux, Jemima Kirke, Julia Garner, and Sonoya Mizuno. Though the teaser gives little insight into the plot, here's hoping a forthcoming trailer will provide some more clues.
