20/02/2018 - 10:15 PM

Even if you're not a big fan of the Marvel cinematic universe (looking at you, DC Comics fans [1]), you have to admire its consistency in delivering action-packed films each year. With three major blockbusters lined up (hello, Black Panther [2]!), this year will be no different. Take a look at all of the Marvel movies hitting the big screen in 2018, then mark your calendars accordingly.

Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, and Angela Bassett round out the all-star cast of Black Panther [3]. The film, which follows T'Challa's (Boseman) return home to the fictitious African nation of Wakanda after his father's death, sets off once he's met by an old foe who attempts to block his rightful accession as king. Will T'Challa and company be able to save the citizens of Wakanda, and the rest of the world, before it's too late?

Avengers: Infinity War

In what Marvel calls "the ultimate and deadliest showdown of all time [4]" (no pressure), Avengers: Infinity War [5] brings together all of our favorite Marvel superheroes for an epic battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin [6]), whose main goal is to capture the Infinity Stones [7]. If successful, Thanos would use the stones to power his Infinity Gauntlet and possess godlike abilities. Nothing a little Hulk smash couldn't solve, am I right?

Ant-Man and the Wasp

The follow up to 2015's Ant-Man [8] finds Scott (Paul Rudd [9]) embarking on a new mission with Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and his daughter, Hope (Evangeline Lilly [10]). In the sequel, the trio attempt to uncover secrets from the past (aka operation save Janet, played by Michelle Pfeiffer [11]). Oh, and did we mention Scott does all of this while trying to balance his responsibilities at home as a dad? Challenge accepted.
