You Can Have a Marvel Movie Marathon on Netflix Right Now

16/02/2018 - 11:55 PM

Superhero movies have become somewhat of a box office staple, with Marvel leading the way and releasing new hero-centered films year after year. Right now, all of the hype [1] is surrounding the just-released film Black Panther [2], which stars Chadwick Boseman [3], and in a few short months, Marvel is set to release [4] Avengers: Infinity War.

While we are all for going to the movies, getting the popcorn, and seeing things on the big screen — especially action-packed films like pretty much every Marvel movie ever — there are a few Marvel titles that you can watch from the comfort of your couch, which is sometimes way better.

Sure, you can check out one of the many TV series being produced by Marvel [5] including, The Defenders, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and more, or you can go animated and stream movies like Iron Man & Captain America: Heroes United and Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled, but we suggest focusing on the major blockbuster hits from Marvel that are currently on Netflix first.

There are three massive superhero flicks on Netflix right now, which will make for a great day — or few days if you can manage to stretch it out — of movie watching. Plus, this way you don't have to wear real clothes. All you need is your pajamas, a bowl of popcorn, and of course, a cocktail inspired by your favorite hero!

Captain America: Civil War

What's not to love about the Avengers? They are a great group of heroes, and Captain America (Chris Evans) is at the center of everything, which is awesome. This movie in particular shows us what happens when political powers get involved in what the group is doing and cause a big rift between Captain America, who wants the group to stay independent, and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), who is listening to the government.

Doctor Strange

This 2016 Marvel film is different from many of its fellow superhero movies because Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is such unique hero. The movie follows the life of a brilliant neurosurgeon, who, after losing the use of his hands, journeys into the world of mystic arts and becomes a sorcerer in the process.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

This movie is the second film from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and it's equally as awesome as the first. After becoming full-blown heroes in the first film, the Guardians must team up again to protect their ragtag family and help Peter Quill, aka Star Lord (Chris Pratt), discover the truth about his parents. Plus, there are a lot of Baby Groot moments [8], and it's too cute.
