Gina Rodriguez is showing us another side of her in the upcoming remake of Miss Bala. Known for playing the sweet and caring Jane Villanueva in the CW's Jane the Virgin [1], the actress is taking on a different persona in this new action thriller. In the film, Rodriguez plays Gloria, a beauty contest winner who goes to Tijuana following the death of her parents. There, she witnesses a murder, which forces her into a dangerous drug war and introduces her to a life of crime, and la balas.
