Yes, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston's morning news TV show [1] is actually happening! And now, after what's felt like an eternity since first hearing that the pair were collaborating on the Apple series, we have our first glimpse at what's to come.

The Morning Show, described as a "high-stakes drama," is based on Brian Stelter's book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV about all the wars that go down behind the scenes of popular morning news shows. The TV adaptation will pull back the curtain on these interactions, centreing on two anchors (Aniston and Steve Carrell). The teaser, though short, is fairly dramatic, featuring a slow pan through the show's set as quotes about integrity and telling the truth play in the background.

Kerry Ehrin will serve as showrunner, while Mimi Leder, who's previously worked on ER and The Leftovers, is onboard as one of the show's directors.
