The Emmys race for outstanding actress in a comedy series [4] was fierce, but Rachel Brosnahan ended up being victorious. The comedic all-star beat out repeat nominees like Pamela Adlon and Allison Janney for the win and stepped up on stage on Monday night to deliver a passionate speech that doubled as a call to action for women across the country.

"This is about a woman finding her voice anew, something that's happening all over the country right now," she said of her character, Midge.
