Even though Titanic [1] was released over two decades ago, we've been able to glean fun behind-the-scenes details to this day; you know, like Matthew McConaughey auditioning to play Jack [2], and the fact that Celine Dion actually hated "My Heart Will Go On." [3] Most recently, it was revealed that the character of American socialite and philanthropist "Unsinkable" Molly Brown — expertly portrayed by Kathy Bates — was originally offered to the one and only Reba McEntire! During a trivia game on Watch What Happens Live this week, the country music legend admitted that she was considered for the iconic role but had to turn it down due to prior touring commitments.

"We were on tour and I had a lot of people on the payroll, and we had these three months already scheduled to do the movie and then they got behind on scheduling," McEntire said. When asked if she regretted the decision after Titanic [4]'s massive success, she replied, "Well, sure. Absolutely. But you gotta take care of your people." Isn't she the greatest? Watch her confession above now, then check out more things you never knew about Titanic [5].
