Rita Ora's "Girls" Music Video

Rita Ora Drops a Steamy Music Video For Her Controversial New Song, "Girls"

When Rita Ora released her epic collaboration with Cardi B, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX earlier this year — "Girls" — it quickly went from enjoying Song of the Summer buzz to sparking controversy. Fellow musician Hayley Kiyoko called the track "tone-deaf" for the way its lyrics "belittle and invalidate" lesbian and queer relationships, while Kehlani tweeted "there.were.harmful. lyrics. period" about the song.

After the backlash, Ora issued an apology, stating she would "never intentionally cause harm to other LGBTQ+ people or anyone," and also said the song was written to represent her truth and "is an accurate account of a very real and honest experience" in her life. Now, the music video for the controversial "Girls" has finally arrived, and there's so much to unpack.

Not only does it feature Ora in a garden of clones, but collaborators Rexha and Charli XCX also appear looking super fly. As for Cardi B? She pops up as a hologram and shares a steamy moment with Ora. Watch it all in the video above.
