Popsugar Entertainment Twitter Reactions Sharp Objects Episode 2 Reactions Sharp Objects Will Make Any Dysfunctional Family Feel Like the Freakin' Brady Bunch 16 July 2018 by Brinton Parker Image Source: HBO The following contains spoilers for the gripping HBO miniseries Sharp Objects. With every passing week, HBO's dramatic miniseries Sharp Objects crosses even closer into absolute sh*tshow territory — in the best way! Fans pegged Amy Adams's performance playing complicated journalist Camille Preaker as Emmy-award material after a single episode, and after the show's sophomore instalment, the obsession is stronger than ever. By episode two, the protagonist's hometown of Wind Gap, MO, has already experienced several brutal child deaths and is plagued by rumours of a vengeful "woman in white" who murders kids in the woods . . . yet somehow, it's Camille's fraught relationship with her narcissistic, virtue-signaling mother (Adora) and two-faced half-sister (Amma) that really fills you with dread. If you ever worry that your family is a touch dysfunctional, a dose of this show will probably make you feel like a wholesome member of The Brady Bunch. Ahead, relive the episode through their passionate reactions! Camille’s skin looks great for someone who is probably only consuming water from ordering her drinks on the rocks. #SharpObjects— Mallory Layfield (@mallorycanteven) July 16, 2018 1 / 26 people who call sharp objects boring are weak and natural selection will come for them pic.twitter.com/4U1f46F8pI— jellybean (@chastainadams) July 16, 2018 2 / 26 not to be hyperbolic, but SHARP OBJECTS is easily my favorite piece of pop culture of the last decade. (tied with TWIN PEAKS and TRUE DETECTIVE S1.) gorgeous and spooky, with truly haunting editing and great characterization. it's an all-timer.— lindsey romain (@lindseyromain) July 15, 2018 3 / 26 Stranger: Me: Amy Adams has NEVER gotten the recognition she deserves. She gave brilliant performances in both ARRIVAL and NOCTURNAL ANIMALS in 2016 and yet neither was nominated. She is incredible in SHARP OBJECTS and WILL snatch that Emmy next year so watch it tonight on HBO. pic.twitter.com/6t659VGSpz— tyde 🌈 (@tydethehomo) July 15, 2018 4 / 26 It may be free to be staying in this house, but it's worth paying for a motel to be away from these absolute lunatics #SharpObjects— Caroline 📚 (@cb104) July 16, 2018 5 / 26 Me after one episode of sharp objects pic.twitter.com/hO1E6Xdghr— George (@BearCostume_) July 16, 2018 6 / 26 She's putting on a bit of a southern twang when she speaks with the locals. Watching a show about dead little girls and weird raging alcoholics. But it's so good though. #SharpObjects— Thema Marie Vietti (@THEMArieV) July 16, 2018 23 / 26 one of the greatest things about #SharpObjects is that it talks about how toxic a mother-daughter relationship can be. our society has been romanticizing motherhood forever, we have to speak up about how maddening it can be when it comes to mental/emotional health.— gab 🍩 (@hollygolightIy) July 16, 2018 24 / 26 If Amy Adams doesn’t win an Emmy for this role, I’m making her one and sending it to her. #SharpObjects— Shupette (@Shupette) July 16, 2018 25 / 26 the biggest mystery of #SharpObjects is how Amy Adams doesn’t sweat one bit while wearing long sleeves and jeans in southern Missouri tbh— maeve (@meeeevyg) July 16, 2018 26 / 26 Twitter ReactionsSharp ObjectsHBOTV
