We Are 110% Here For the Diversity in the Shazam! Cast

Zachary Levi will play the titular character, aka the bulked up superhero version of Billy Batson. You might know Levi from the spy TV show Chuck and the comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Asher Angel will portray Billy, the wayward kid who turns into Shazam. The 16-year-old actor is best known for his role on Disney's Andi Mack as the title character's boyfriend, Jonah Beck.

Mark Strong is set to play the physicist Dr. Thaddeus Sivana, who himself had been summoned by the wizard Shazam as a child. The English actor has had a prolific career in film, theatre, and television. He is known for his role as Merlin in Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Djimon Hounsou will bring to life Shazam, the ancient wizard who gives his powers to Billy Batson. The Beninese actor has been in a number of movies, including Gladiator and Blood Diamond. You might recognise him from the MCU as Korath the Pursuer and from the DC Extended Universe as the Fisherman King.

Adam Brody will star as adult Freddie, Billy's foster brother and best friend. If you grew up during the aughts, you might remember Brody as the controversial Seth Cohen from The O.C. He currently stars as Nick Talman on the series StartUp.

The It actor will play the younger version of Billy's friend Freddie. Besides appearing in It and It 2 as Eddie Kaspbrak, Jack Dylan Grazer recently portrayed young Nic Sheff in Beautiful Boy.

The Riverdale actor will play the grown-up version of Eugene, Billy's foster brother who's an avid gamer and techie. Besides briefly appearing on Riverdale as Reggie, Ross Butler has also appeared on K.C. Undercover, 13 Reasons Why, and Teen Wolf.

Grace Fulton will play the teenage version of Billy's foster sister Mary. The 22-year-old actress recently appeared in Annabelle: Creation as Carol.

D.J. Cotrona is set to star as Pedro, Billy's shy foster sibling. Cotrona is known for his role as Seth Gecko on From Dusk Till Dawn.

Jovan Armand will play Cotrona's younger counterpart. He has appeared in the series The Middle as Troy and Bella and the Bulldogs as Ricky Delarosa.

The Walking Dead actor is set to play Billy's foster father. Besides starring as Jerry on The Walking Dead, Cooper Andrews is also known for his role as Yo-Yo Engberk on Halt and Catch Fire.

Marta Milans will portray Rosa, the foster mother of Billy's group home. The young Spanish actress plays Katia on El embarcadero.
