The kids of Hawkins may do a good job of showing their fear when they come face-to-face with the new "big bad" in season 3 of Stranger Things [1], but in reality, the cast had no idea what the creature looked like. "There was a man in a jumpsuit with a silver ball on his head and that's what we had to react to," [2] Caleb McLoughlin, who plays Lucas, said in an interview with The Wrap. But despite not knowing what they were looking at during filming, they all agree on one thing: this new monster will make the Demogorgon seem like a teddy bear. Sadie Sink, who plays Max, calls it "definitely the biggest yet. I think the scariest, too."

Now the cast has seen the monster in its finished form, Sink says "it kind of looks like a combination of the Demogorgon and the Mind Flayer, with like the teeth and everything."
