Vecna Is Unleashed in the Teaser for "Stranger Things" Season 4, Vol. 2

"Stranger Things" season four made a huge splash when volume one dropped on Netflix on 27 May. Now, Netflix has released a teaser for the final two episodes, which make up volume two, and we couldn't be more scared. In the footage, the villainous Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) threatens Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the people of Hawkins.

The ending of the first half of the "Stranger Things" season left our beloved characters in some pretty rough spots. Nancy (Natalia Dyer) is trapped under Vecna's curse inside the Upside Down. Eddie (Joseph Quinn) is wanted for murder, with the rest of the Hawkins gang considered his accomplices. Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) are trapped in Russia still. Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), and Will (Noah Schnapp) are trying to make their way across the country to help El. Fans are wondering if all their favorites will make it out of the season alive because it seems likely that someone will end up exiting the show before everything is said and done.

The final two episodes of season four come amidst news that the series will wrap with season five. "This summer, every ending has a beginning," the trailer says, so it seems season four is setting up a massive finale for the show's last season.

"Stranger Things"'s main antagonist for season four is Vecna, and he's pretty horrifying. Fans learned in part one that he started his life as Henry Creel, aka One. Some fans have theorized that One and Eleven could even be related.

The end of volume one left us with some major cliffhangers. At the end of the last episode, Eleven learns that Vecna is Henry Creel, aka One. Hopper defeats the Demogorgon in Russia, though he and Joyce still have to make it back to America. And Nancy, Eddie, Steve, and Robin are almost out of the Upside Down when Nancy gets thrown into Vecna's curse. Volume two has a lot of plot threads to wrap up in just two episodes. 48849829

"Stranger Things" Teaser: Episode Titles

On Stranger Things Day, Netflix released a video revealing all nine titles of the new "Stranger Things" episodes, including "The Hellfire Club," "Vecna's Curse," "The Monster and the Superhero," "Dear Billy," "The Nina Project," "The Dive," "The Massacre at Hawkins Lab," "Papa," and "The Piggyback."

While we're happy to have a whole new season to look forward to, we can't help but have more questions than before. Who the heck is Vecna? And why do we already know "Papa" is going to make us cry? "In the spring of 1986, the adventure continues," the teaser says, and we're more than ready to hop on board.
