A tease of the full clip — which premieres June 9 — aired during the CMT awards on Wednesday night, and it appears to show Swift playing the mistress to Legends of Tomorrow actor Brandon Routh, who happens to be married to Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles in the video. While Nettles angrily sips martinis and goes grocery shopping, Swift and Routh share a few passionate moments in his office. Definitely a change of pace for Swift's typical scored woman characters [4], no?

The catchy track was co-written by Swift and Train's Pat Monahan, marking her second foray back into the world of country music after becoming pop's reigning superstar. In 2017 she wrote "Better Man" for Little Big Town, which ended up earning them a Grammy. Hopefully "Babe" will be just as successful. And hey, even if it's not, at least now we know what Swift would look like with a retro red hairdo, right?
