Breaking In
- The scoop: Gabrielle Union [4] stars as a mother whose weekend getaway with her kids goes awry when a group of men break into their high-tech estate and threaten their lives. Expect to see Union kick plenty of ass in this action thriller.

Deadpool 2
- The scoop: Ryan Reynolds [5]'s Merc With a Mouth clashes with Josh Brolin [6]'s Cable in this high-octane (and highly inappropriate) sequel, which sees the titular antihero teaming up with a motley crew (including Zazie Beetz's Domino!).

Cargo
- The scoop: As if a zombie pandemic isn't bad enough, Martin Freeman's character finds himself stranded in rural Australia when it goes down. Oh, and he's infected, too, and is desperately searching for a new home for his infant daughter. We can already feel the tears welling.

Solo: A Star Wars Story
- The scoop: In Solo, we meet a young Han Solo (played by Hail Caesar!'s Alden Ehrenreich) long before he ever links up with Luke or Leia. Han is recruited by Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) to join his crew on a mission against an intergalactic gangster (Paul Bettany [7]). On top of that, it details Han's first meeting with Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and Chewbacca. We can't wait!

Won't You Be My Neighbor?
- The scoop: In the mood for an emotional documentary? Won't You Be My Neighbor? [9] chronicles the life of Fred Rogers, the venerable icon and beloved children's show host.

The Incredibles 2
- The scoop: The family that does it all is back! Craig T. Nelson returns as Mr. "Bob" Incredible, who must put his superhero alter ego aside so that his wife, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), can go on her own exciting exploits. That means we get to see some heroic actions from our favorite supermom as well as new stay-at-home-dad Bob's roller coaster of an adventure with the kids (especially baby Jack-Jack) — what more could we want?

Set It Up
- The scoop: In this romantic comedy, Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell star as Harper and Charlie, a pair of overworked, underpaid executive assistants living in Manhattan. In an effort to improve the moods of their tough bosses (Lucy Liu [10] and Taye Diggs [11]), Harper and Charlie hatch a plan to get them to fall in love. Of course, they soon find out that playing matchmaker isn't as easy as it seems.

Ant-Man and the Wasp
- The scoop: The action-packed sequel to the 2015 original finds Hope (Evangeline Lilly [12]) and her father, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), on the run from the government thanks to some shenanigans Scott/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd [13]) got up to. Fortunately, Hope, who is now a superhero in her own right thanks to her high-tech Wasp suit, can handle it.

The Darkest Minds
- The scoop: From the producers of Stranger Things [15] and based on the YA novel by Alexandra Bracken, The Darkest Minds follows 16-year-old Ruby (Hunger Games alum Amandla Stenberg) through a dystopian future where kids and teenagers are locked up in camps by the government after they start developing mysterious new abilities. The extremely powerful Ruby manages to escape her camp with a group of other kids, and they soon start building a resistance to take back their freedom.

Christopher Robin
- The scoop: Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor [17]) is all grown-up, jaded, and living a life devoid of imagination. Enter Winnie the Pooh and friends, who journey from the Hundred Acre Wood to help their old pal remember all the little things that make the world so magical. Hayley Atwell, Chris O'Dowd, and Toby Jones also star!

Like Father
- The scoop: Lauren Rogen makes her feature directorial debut with Like Father, a Netflix comedy that just so happens to star her husband, Seth Rogen [18]. When a workaholic executive (Kristen Bell [19]) gets left at the altar, she finds herself on a Caribbean cruise with her estranged father (Kelsey Grammer), who's just as big of a workaholic as she is. Thanks to the sun, sand, and a whole lot of cocktails, the father-daughter pair begin to find common ground.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
- The scoop: In the aftermath of World War II, a writer (Lily James) unexpectedly bonds with the people of Guernsey Island and decides to make them the subject of her next novel. Game of Thrones heartthrob Michiel Huisman [20] stars alongside James in this period film, which has been adapted from Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows's 2008 novel of the same name.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before
- The scoop: Netflix got its hands on the first novel in Jenny Han's bestselling YA trilogy, which follows Lara Jean Song Covey [21], a teenager whose secret love letters to her former crushes accidentally get sent out. A will-they-or-won't-they romance soon blossoms between her and one of the boys in her letters, so this should help fill your rom-com quota for August.

Slender Man
- The scoop: Slender Man first haunted the internet on a viral creepy web forum almost a decade ago, but now he's making the jump to the big screen. Joey King [22] stars in this creepy horror flick that brings the terrifying web myth to life — a tall, thin, faceless creature with unnaturally long arms haunts children and teens, forcing them to do terrible, terrible things before he takes them away forever.
