Taylor Swift "You Need to Calm Down" Song

Taylor Swift's New Song "You Need to Calm Down" Is Here, So Yes, We're Freaking Out

Taylor Swift is back with another catchy single! Following the release of "ME!" with Panic! at the Disco singer Brendon Urie in April, the singer dropped "You Need to Calm Down" at midnight on June 13. (This girl and her 13's!) In classic Swift form, the track features a fun pop beat as she sings about the importance of minding your own business with lyrics like, "I've learned a lesson that stressin' and obsessing about somebody else is no fun," and "Why are you mad, when you could be glad?"

The new single comes after Swift announced her seventh album, Lover, will be released on August 23. Interestingly enough, the title of her album was hidden in plain sight all along. In her Easter egg-filled music video for "ME!" you can make out a sign that says "Lover" in the background of one of the scenes. Swift also teased the title of the second single with the music video's opening scene, when Urie shouts, "You need to calm down" in French. Ugh, her mind!
