There's something about the festive season that brings out the worst in all of us. At least, that's how Jordan Peele [1] must feel since he dropped the first trailer for his horror film Us [2], on Christmas Day! From the stellar cast [3], including Black Panther [4]'s Winston Duke and Lupita Nyong'o, to what already promises to be an amazing soundtrack (Luniz's "I Got 5 on It" is a classic!), there's so much to look forward to [5]. The trailer is also terrifying enough to put hairs on your chest, so there's that as well.

During the trailer's screening, Peele stated that — unlike his award-winning film debut Get Out [6] — the story of Us has nothing to do with race [7]. The film is focused on telling the story about how "we are our own worst enemies." He also explained that he specifically wanted to have a black family at the centre of a horror film. As we can see from the trailer, he has definitely delivered on all counts! We're full of so many questions from the video (mainly, what is going on with those rabbits?), but we'll have to wait until Us hits theatres next year. Watch the trailer above!
