OK, we may have been over this before, but things have taken a turn where a Venom/Spider-Man crossover is more likely than ever before!
In an interview with CinemaBlend, when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about a potential crossover, he said: "I think probably it's up to Sony. Sony has both those characters and, has Venom in their world. I don't know what their plans are for another Venom or if they're doing that. But it seems likely at some point."
You're probably thinking it seems a little ambiguous, and you're not wrong. But with Feige saying that the ball is basically in Sony's court, it gives some heft to a confirmation from the studio back in August 2018 that it planned to crossover Spider-Man and Venom. "[They] are already in the same universe — so without giving too much away, we are looking forward to the two of them eventually facing off in the future," Sony said in a statement to SYFY WIRE.
With Spider-Man: Far From Home introducing the multiverse and Venom 2 just getting underway, there's definitely a way the two studios can make this happen! The only question now is whether it will be a small tease in the sequel or maybe a team-up movie? We're getting excited just thinking about the possibilities.
