The Weeknd's "Call Out My Name" Coachella Performance 2018

The Weeknd Breaks Down in Tears While Singing About Ex Selena Gomez at Coachella

The Weeknd made an emotional return to the stage when he performed at Coachella on Friday. Not only did the big night mark the singer's first performance since the release of his new EP, My Dear Melancholy, but The Weeknd actually broke down in tears while belting out "Call Out My Name." Given that the track seems to be undoubtedly all about his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and features lyrics like, "Girl, why can't you wait? (Why can't you wait, baby?) / Girl, why can't you wait till I fall out of love?," we totally understand why The Weeknd couldn't even finish singing some of the lyrics. Honestly, the whole thing will just break your heart.
