Westworld Season 2 Cast and Characters

The Uncertain Fates of 9 Westworld Characters Have Been Revealed For Season 2

We're inching ever closer to the second season of Westworld, and there is a lot going on. The first trailer and additional grisly Super Bowl ad have proven that chaos reigns as the story lurches ruthlessly forward. While we're excited to peek into the other parks and witness more brutal violence in season two, we must not forget where we landed at the end of season one. After all, a lot of characters' fates were left completely up in the air. Luckily, Entertainment Weekly has uncovered a bunch of new intel about the characters we met in season one. Let's review.

1. William (Jimmi Simpson)

Now that we know William is the younger version of the Man in Black, our experience watching him has certainly changed. According to EW, we're going to "explore the early days of the park and discover how he gained so much influence over Delos Incorporated."

2. The Man in Black (Ed Harris)

As you may recall, the Man in Black is hungry for some real thrills in Westworld and will stop at nothing to get them. It seems he's finally got his wish with Dolores's turn as the evil villain Wyatt. Harris hinted that "he gets a bit of damage done to him, that's for sure."

3. Elsie Hughes (Shannon Woodward)

It truly seems like Elsie is a goner in season one, but we haven't actually seen the last of her. According to creator Lisa Joy, she'll finally get to "experience Westworld as [a guest] and not in the managerial halls."

4. Ashley Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth)

Ashley is in a similar position as Elsie: he's getting to experience Westworld firsthand. Before you get too excited, Joy says, "I'm not sure they're enjoying their experience." Uh-oh.

5. Clementine Pennyfeather (Angela Sarafyan)

If you remember correctly, Clementine was "lobotomised" and put into storage in the first season, but then unexpectedly returned as everything descended into chaos. Apparently, she's reverted to a previous version of her character, but her recent operation has irrevocably changed her. She's going to be a wild card in season two.

6. Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman)

Remember how Maeve is running amok in the Delos laboratories at the end of season one (and in that harrowing season two trailer)? Well, her first order of business is to take Lee, the head writer, hostage. "He's found himself in the most uncomfortable position he can possibly be in," actor Simon Quarterman says. "These hosts have always been props to his stories, and now it's like he's become a player in one of his own stories."

7. Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson)

Charlotte is a pretty chilly but badass corporate bigwig in season one, but now she's lost all her control. "She is back and causes trouble," Lisa Joy said. "She went from this controlled person playing this chess game with Ford. He takes out her king and queen in one fell swoop. Now she's left at the mercy of the hosts like everyone else."

8. Peter Abernathy (Louis Herthum)

Peter was previously tucked away in storage, and then nearly smuggled out by corporate queen Charlotte. Now, he's an "important asset" and someone Dolores is very interested in protecting.

9. Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins)

Yes, Dr. Ford is dead as a doornail, but don't forget that half of the story is taking place far in the past. We're going to see a younger version of Ford in season two, played by another actor.
