The Trailer For Netflix's Tall Girl Has Everything: Romance! Makeover Montages! Bad Jokes!

Netflix is slowly but surely solidifying itself as the buzziest destination for new, original romantic comedies, and the latest addition to its collection looks promising: Tall Girl.

The upcoming film stars Ava Michelle as Jodi, a 6'1" 16-year-old who's always been uncomfortable with how her height makes her stand out from the rest of her classmates, even with the love and support of her two best friends (Griffin Gluck, Anjelika Washington). Constantly bummed out because there are no guys taller than her in school, things start looking up when handsome (and very tall!) exchange student Stig (Luke Eisner) arrives and seems interested in her. With the help of her beauty queen older sister Harper (The Hate U Give's Sabrina Carpenter), Jodi gets a makeover of not only her outward appearance, but also her inner confidence (aww).

The film, which hails from director Nzingha Stewart, also stars Angela Kinsey and Steve Zahn as Jodi and Harper's parents. Tall Girl begins streaming on Netflix on Sept. 13.
