It was a dark day in 2017 when Netflix announced that they'd no longer be streaming beloved football drama Friday Night Lights. Had they never heard an inspirational speech delivered by the tough-but-fair Coach Taylor? Were they completely immune to the beauty of Connie Britton's hair softly blowing in the Texas breeze? And how in the hell did they think it would be OK to deprive us of watching Tim Riggins strut around Dillon High? The closest thing Netflix has done to repairing their grievous crime is by adding the Friday Night Lights film from 2004 to their library.

But you know what? That dark six-month period in our lives is now over thanks to Amazon. The fellow streaming giant has officially gotten the screening rights to the series, which follows Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his team of football players as they navigate the ups and downs of small town life in Dillon, Texas. The Emmy-winning drama has a total of five seasons, so you better get comfy — there's a Friday Night Lights marathon in your future.
