Another season of The Bachelorette [1] is over, which means the hunt for the next Bachelor has officially begun. While the news is usually announced during the "After the Final Rose" special, it seems like the show is taking its sweet time making a decision [2]. "It would be premature to make the call now, before [Bachelor in Paradise]," host Chris Harrison told Entertainment Tonight. "It wouldn't be smart at all . . . there's guys you haven't seen yet."
Even though Harrison is staying mum about who will be the next Bachelor, Hannah Brown did tease a few of her picks [3] when she stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live after the dramatic finale [4] on Tuesday night. Since the next Bachelor is usually chosen from the previous season of Bachelorette contestants, it's very likely that one of Hannah Brown's exes will take on the role. Mike Johnson
Ever since Hannah sent Mike Johnson home this season, fans have been petitioning to have him as the next Bachelor [5]. Clearly Hannah is in agreement because she told Jimmy Kimmel that she would love to see him take on the role. Although, he might actually find actually find love a little sooner. Mike was shown in the Bachelor in Paradise teaser [6] for this upcoming season. Perhaps that's why the show is waiting to make their decision?
Peter Weber
Another name Hannah threw out during Jimmy Kimmel is her second runner up, Peter Weber [7]. "I thought Peter [Weber] was really great," she said. "Mike [Johnson]'s great. I want them to have happiness so maybe it'll work out better for them than it did for me." While there were reports that Peter broke up with his girlfriend [8] to join the show, he has since denied his exes claims [9], saying, "There was a lot of truth to what she said in her story, but there is also a lot of truth that wasn't mentioned."
Following his breakup with Hannah, Peter has already expressed an interest in being the next Bachelor [10]. "I know this whole situation didn't work out the way I was hoping, but Hannah truly showed me a different love than I had ever felt," he told People. "So it's given me hope that I have more love to find. I wouldn't say no to trying it again because I know the experience works. And I'm hopeful that my person is right around the corner."
Tyler Cameron
While the Bachelorette finale ended with Hannah asking Tyler out for drinks, there is a chance that they won't get back together in the end [11]. If so, we're certain there are a lot of girls who would line up to date the charming 26-year-old [12].
John Paul Jones
Bachelor Nation can certainly be unpredictable at times, so there is a chance that they could throw us a curveball (remember when they announced Arie Luyendyk Jr. as the new Bachelor [13]?) by naming John Paul Jones as the next Bachelor. Though he's set to appear on Bachelor in Paradise [14] this season, he quickly became a fan-favourite during his short-lived appearance on Hannah's season of The Bachelorette [15].
