Who Performed on The Bachelor Jan. 29?

This Bachelor Performer Was Discovered Singing Taylor Swift on YouTube

One of the cool, unexpected parts of The Bachelor is that we are introduced to up-and-coming artists. During week five of Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s second chance at love, his one-on-one date with single mom Chelsea Roy was accompanied by the sweet country tunes of Tenille Arts.

Who is this talented beauty? Aside from the song she sang on The Bachelor, "Moment of Weakness," you might have heard her stuff before! Back in October, she released her first full-length album "Rebel Child" as an independent artist and debuted at number two, just after Chris Young's "Losing Sleep." Pandora, the music streaming service, named her one of the "2017 Country Artists to Watch."

The 23-year-old was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, a small prairie town in Canada that isn't too far from the North Dakota and Montana borders. Arts was inspired by the Dixie Chicks, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood, but it looks like Taylor Swift had an even bigger impact on her life. She performed "Fifteen" by Swift in a YouTube video, and was contacted by a manager in Nashville. Although she made the trip to Music City, she decided to finish high school and gain more experience with music.

In 2015, she went back to Nashville for a writing trip and decided to move there. Arts said that it "was one of the best career moves I could have made."

She's come a long way from writing her first song at age 13 and performing all over Canada. Now she can add one of the most entertaining (and dramatic) shows on television to her resume — and we hope that this isn't the last we see of her!
