When it comes to rebooting horror franchise as beloved and well-trodden as Halloween, it's tough to make things feel fresh. After all, how many times have we seen Michael Myers mercilessly go after a babysitter? Fortunately in David Gordon Green and Danny McBride's excellent revival of John Carpenter's classic 1978 horror flick, we get plenty of nods to the original, but also a batch of seriously cool female characters.
