Who Plays Molly in Booksmart?

Beanie Feldstein Reveals Her Favourite Scene in Booksmart and Why Molly Is Simply the Best

Booksmart is easily one of our favourite movies of the Summer. The coming-of-age comedy directed by Olivia Wilde boasts an epic soundtrack, nonstop hilarity, and deeply heartfelt moments, all held down by its exceptional leading ladies: Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein.

The latter plays Molly, an ambitious overachiever who spent the entirety of her four years in high school hitting the books and abiding by the rules so she would one day be able to achieve her dream of going to Yale. Though she gets in, she soon realises that all of the slackers who spent their high school careers partying also got into Ivy League universities. So to make up for lost time, she and her best friend, Amy (Dever), proceed to cram four years' worth of parties into one night, resulting in the best BFF adventure since Superbad.

In our exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from the comedy, Feldstein — who you might know from her work in Lady Bird and Neighbours 2 — opens up about getting handpicked to play Molly by Wilde, why she connects so strongly to her character, and her favourite scene from the film. Check it out above, then be sure to preorder your tickets for Booksmart before it arrives in theatres on May 31!
