First off, Maura gave us some great television by blowing up on Tom: Maura got a text asking her to pick someone to take to the hideaway, and after three kisses with Tom, he seemed like the most sensible choice. Sadly, Tom showed his true, laddy colours when he said to the boys that he "wants to see if she's all mouth or not." Maura overheard the comment and, rightly so, put Tom in his place by calling him immature, disrespectful, and a follower. Although Maura forgave Tom rather quickly, she made certain to have him at her beck and call for the remainder of the episode.
We really appreciated the drama between Maura and Tom, but the real meat of the episode was the intense recoupling between Danny, Arabella, and Yewande. The general consensus among viewers and the islanders is that it was totally fair for Danny to have an "undeniable connection" with Arabella, but the way he went about it was shady.
Instead of being direct with Yewande by just telling her that he fancies Arabella, Danny gave us insight into his lack of emotional intelligence by continuing to feed Yewande lies. In addition to misleading Yewande, he also made Arabella look like an absolute mean girl by telling each girl a different version of his feelings. Danny wasn't honest, that's our problem. But Twitter is a cruel mistress who will stop at nothing to avenge Yewande from her emotional departure.
