No amount of tissues could have prepared me for this year's Grammy Awards [1]. Following emotional tributes to Nipsey Hussle [2] and Kobe and Gianna Bryant [3], Grammys host Alicia Keys [4] took to the nearest piano to raise the spirits of a tearful audience with an uplifting performance of her new song, "Underdog."

Per her last name, Keys — who performed alongside Brittany Howard on guitar — took to the piano to serenade the audience, all while standing on a platform that ascended off the stage. "If you ever felt like you wasn't gon' make it, this one's for you," Keys said. After Camila Cabello brought her dad to tears [5] with her "First Man" performance and Demi Lovato shared her heartbreaking single "Anyone," [6] Keys's inspirational song seemed to be much appreciated.
