Olivia Rodrigo and The Weeknd Lead With the Most AMA Nominations — See the Full List

It's time again! The nominations for the 2021 American Music Awards have officially arrived, with Olivia Rodrigo leading the pack with seven nominations as a first-time nominee. The nominees were announced on 28 Oct., with reveals on Spotify's The Get Up for favourite R&B album, favourite male latin artist, and favourite female hip-hop artist, as well as Good Morning America for artist of the year and favourite trending song (a new category). The remaining nominees were unveiled shortly after via the AMAs Twitter account.

The Weeknd nabbed the title of the most-nominated male artist in 2021 with six nods. Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, and Giveon each picked up five nominations. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was nominated for artist of the year for the eighth year in a row. She also holds the record for the most AMA wins — 32 to be exact.
