Anderson .Paak's Cover of "Old Town Road" Is Soothing, Soulful, and Surprisingly Sexy
I never thought I'd use the word "sexy" to describe "Old Town Road," but alas, here I am, feeling overwhelmingly moved by Anderson .Paak's cover of the chart-topping song. Paak took the stage in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge on Monday to perform a rendition of the Lil Nas X hit, using his smooth-as-melted-butter voice to give it a soulful, jazzy spin that's a far cry from the original track's tune. With two female singers providing backup vocals, he simultaneously rapped the lyrics and played the drums, which is certainly no easy feat. I don't know about you, but I'll personally have this soothing cover on repeat for the remainder of the week.
