21 Shows Coming to Apple TV+ That Are Well Worth the Subscription Cost

Apple TV+ is set to debut on Nov. 1 with a library of brand-new original content. On its launch day, the new streaming service from Apple will already have several of its big-name series ready to go, including See with Jason Momoa, The Morning Show starring Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, and Jennifer Aniston, and Hailee Steinfeld as Dickinson. After that first drop of shows, though, there will continue to be a steady stream of new content, from original comedies to dramas and even some documentaries, and there's tons more content in development with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Keep reading to see what shows you can start watching immediately on Nov. 1, and what else is in the pipeline for future release.

Six hundred years in the future, humans are born blind and a large portion of the population has been wiped out by a mysterious virus. The show stars Aquaman's Jason Momoa as warrior Baba Voss and Alfre Woodard as the priestess Paris.

2 The Morning Show

Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, and Reese Witherspoon costar in this drama about a morning news show in the wake of a scandal for one of its anchors. The series has already been picked up for a second season, both of which will be 10 episodes long.

3 Dickinson

Who thinks "Emily Dickinson" and "comedy" together? Apparently, Apple TV+ does! The dark comedy, which stars Hailee Steinfeld as the famous poet and Jane Krakowski as her mother, is a coming-of-age comedy that explores societal constraints and gender through Dickinson's famous life and work.

4 For All Mankind

In an alternate history, For All Mankind imagines a world where the Soviet Union beat their American counterparts to the moon and the space race continued to the present day. Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, and Jodi Balfour lead the cast in this drama from Ronald D. Moore.

From the creators of Sesame Street comes Helpsters, a kids' series about Cody and the Helpsters, a team of monsters who love to solve any and all problems, all with good cheer and plenty of learning.

6 Snoopy in Space

As we all know, Snoopy is a fantastic pilot, always ready to go up against the Red Baron. But with Snoopy in Space, he's headed to new heights. Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and their whole crew take over the controls of the International Space Station to explore the moon and beyond.

7 Ghostwriter

The '90s children's mystery series is getting a reboot at Apple TV+. Like the original, the new series revolves around a group of young friends who are brought together by a mysterious ghost. The quartet, along with their ghostly companion, must work together to free ghosts from books.

8 Servant

M. Night Shyamalan brings his trademark psychological thrillers to Apple TV+ with Servant. Toby Kebbell and Lauren Ambrose star as parents who get in way over their head when they hire a nanny for their son. Harry Potter's Rupert Grint also stars in a still-mysterious role.

9 Little America

Lee Eisenberg, Kumail Nanjiani, and Emily V. Gordon are set to write and produce Little America, an anthology series based on the true stories collection "Little America" featured in Epic Magazine. The comedy is set to take a sweet, funny, and heartfelt slice-of-life look inside the lives of immigrants living in America.

10 Untitled Oprah series

The former queen of daytime TV is bringing her media empire to Apple with a multiseries deal. Her projects include the documentary Toxic Labour, as well as an untitled docuseries about mental health and a new, interactive version of her famous book club.

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer stars in this drama based on the novel Are You Sleeping by Kathleen Barber. Spencer plays Poppy Parnell, a true-crime podcaster called to investigate further into a serial killer who she incriminated — but who now says he was framed. Aaron Paul, Lizzy Caplan, and Ron Cephas Jones also star.

Based on a French series of the same name, the innovative new series is short-form storytelling, using real-life audio and very minimal visuals to tell short stories.

Fresh off his retirement from playing Captain America, Chris Evans is executive producing and starring in the crime thriller Defending Jacob, based on a novel by William Landay. The series follows a father whose teenage son is accused of murder.

Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu will produce and direct the series, which is being developed based on Hilde Lysiak, a child journalist who started her own newspaper and reported on a suspected murder and the US-Mexico border.

Gad will lend his voice to the show, along with Frozen costar Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Leslie Odom Jr., Titus Burgess, Daveed Diggs, and Kathryn Hahn.
