It feels like Tayshia Adams's journey on The Bachelorette [1] just began, but it's already drawing to a close. Down to 12 men [2] after the Nov. 24 episode, Tayshia's search for her future husband has about four or five more episodes to go [3] (not counting the Men Tell All special). So we're coming down to the wire, and it's time for Tayshia — and Bachelor Nation — to figure out who will be the future Mr. Adams.
I'll hand it to Tayshia, she has narrowed down her choices to some stellar picks. She wasn't able to get the full Bachelorette experience with extravagant dates, or even a full cast, but she's been able to spot the bullsh*t and weed out the men who aren't a right fit for her [4]. If you've been watching as closely as I have, it's safe to say you probably have some ideas of who will be among the final four men making it to the fantasy suites. While Tayshia has made an honest effort to get to know all the men on an intimate level, there are a select few who have connected with her in ways that the rest are unable to. Those are the men who are angling for a ring in the finale! Keep reading for my thoughts on who we'll be seeing as Tayshia gets ready to hand out her final rose.
Will Tayshia Pick Ben on The Bachelorette?
If there's anyone who has earned Bachelor Nation's heart with his earnestness, it's Ben Smith. The personal trainer wasn't seen much during Clare Crawley's days as the Bachelorette, but Tayshia's entrance has fuelled the romantic flames in his heart, and he's made an effort to stand out [6]. He's made a few fumbles when it comes to drawing Tayshia's attention — we'll never forget how he waited until the group date was over to ask for some time alone. But he made up for it with a late-night visit to Tayshia's suite during the seventh episode. The man knows how to make up for his mistakes!
I don't think Ben will get the final rose, but I see him getting to the final four and making an impression on Tayshia's family. I only hope it's a good one!
Will Tayshia Pick Ivan on The Bachelorette?
Oh, Ivan Hall. It's safe to say he's at the top of a lot of lists after his one-on-one date with Tayshia in the seventh episode. Ivan has been playing hard for Tayshia's heart since she stepped out of the limo, a marked change from his energy during Clare's time. He is the suitor who muttered the most iconic line during Tayshia's arrival episode: "I like her better than Clare already."
Ivan and Tayshia have a level of intimacy that she doesn't share with the other men, a point that was made evident in their conversation about their biracial identities and the Black Lives Matter movement. The aeronautical engineer [7] is one of the very few men on the show who has delved deep into Tayshia's background beyond superficial questions. He has initiated serious conversations, has been vulnerable and honest, and has no qualms about showing the Bachelorette [8] that he's invested in their relationship.
Although he does seem like a perfect match for Tayshia, I do have to admit that I haven't seen the chemistry between them as I have with other men. I think Ivan has definite potential to be Tayshia's final man if they build on their physical connection a little more. Having said that, I definitely see him in the final four.
Will Tayshia Pick Zac C. on The Bachelorette?
Despite having a few one-on-ones with Tayshia, Zac Clark is still a bit of a mystery [9] to us all. He's still managed to catch her attention, and it's obvious that Tayshia wants to know more because she's attracted to the addiction specialist. But I'm not sure how that translates to them building a relationship. There is definitely chemistry between the two, but Zac seems less inclined to share more personal facts about his life than other guys. It's still giving him an edge; I totally see Tayshia taking him into the final four and introducing him to her family. I'm just not sure I see him being her number one pick.
Will Tayshia Pick Brendan on The Bachelorette?
No one should be surprised that Brendan Morais is on this list; he got Tayshia's first date [10], after all! The commercial roofer instantly hit it off with Tayshia, and they've been able to connect in unexpected ways — namely their shared experience as divorcées [11]. Brendan understands Tayshia's fears in taking the leap of faith for love, which means a lot to Tayshia. And it helps that they're very attracted to one another!
Even though I feel like her connection with Ivan is a bit deeper on the emotional side, I think Brendan is probably the real front runner in this race for Tayshia's heart. The way she reacts to his presence and seemingly glows around him is an indication that he's already halfway to winning her heart. I don't doubt that he's primed to make it past the final four and be one of the last two men standing.
