Greta Gerwig's live-action "Barbie" [1] movie has sparked a resurgence of the Barbiecore aesthetic [2]. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-led flick, due out this month, has gotten people excited about the vibrant, neon-coloured fashion featured in it via trailers and released still-images.
According to Variety [3], the viral looks we've seen from the movie are the creations of Oscar-winning costume designer Jacqueline Durran. Gerwig previously worked with Durran on the wardrobe for "Little Women." The designer is also responsible for Kristen Stewart [4]'s Chanel looks in "Spencer [5]," per Vogue [6].
