Line of Duty: The Officers of AC-12 Have the Best Time on Set and We Have the Proof
We know we're not the only ones missing Line of Duty. The BBC series has built up quite the following since it first started in 2012 thanks to its shocking plot twists, edge-of-the-seat moments, and incredible guest stars. As we all patiently await the sixth season of the much-loved police drama, we figured what better time to go back and remind ourselves of just how much fun it looks like the cast have making the show.
While the officers of AC-12 have been known to turn on each other, in real life, it looks like Vicky McClure (DI Kate Fleming), Martin Compston (DS Steve Arnott), and Adrian Dunbar (Superintendent Ted Hastings) couldn't be closer friends — as these photos from behind the scenes attest. As well as goofing around together between takes, the trio have even been known to spend their evenings learning lines and cooking together when filming on location in Belfast.
Fans will know that the hit drama has been off our screens for over a year now, and due to the coronavirus pandemic, it looks like we still have a while to wait until series six airs. While filming began in early 2020, it was quickly shut down due to lockdown restrictions. Shooting restarted in early September and has reportedly wrapped up. Discussing the new series on BBC Breakfast just last week, McClure confirmed that shooting for series six "is in the can", and revealed that viewers can expect a series "packed full of everything".
