Blackpink's Best Music Collaborations

Blackpink's Solo Singles Are Bangers, but They Know How to Rock a Collab, Too

K-pop girl group Blackpink isn't just in your area anymore — the group has taken the world by storm in recent months, collaborating with some of the biggest stars in the biz all before releasing their first debut album. Made up by members Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa, Blackpink has hit some epic milestones since they entered the spotlight in 2016 — like breaking YouTube and Guinness World Records for their popular music videos and crossing off numerous "firsts" as a woman K-pop group — yet it seems they're just getting started.

The girls are dropping their first studio album, The Album on Oct. 2, and their Netflix documentary, BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky, shortly after on Oct. 14. Ahead of the group's exciting releases, take a look back at some of Blackpink's best musical collaborations featuring Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and more. While their individual tracks are certainly bangers on their own, the star power in these collaborations is next level.

It's no surprise that Blackpink's most recent single, "Ice Cream", is the group's highest-charting single to date. The upbeat bubblegum track perfectly melds Gomez's vocals with the members' sweet vibe, and the music video couldn't be more fitting. Plus, Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét have songwriting credits, adding another layer to the fun collaboration.

Released in October 2018, this dance-pop hit marked one of Blackpink's first collaborations. While a music video was not released, Dua Lipa joined Blackpink at one of their concerts to perform the song together live.

Another retro dance single, "Sour Candy" combines Lady Gaga and Blackpink members' contrasting styles, bringing us an exciting collaboration. Off of Gaga's Chromatica, the song is definitely a classic bop.

The highly-anticipated collaboration featuring Cardi B is set to drop on Oct. 2 with the rest of The Album. Ahead of the song's release, the rapper simply tweeted, "The song is amazing 😉."
