This year has seen a few sequels to the rom-coms you've loved in previous years, plus a full new slate of creative, swoon-worthy movies [4] featuring some of your favourite stars. And it's not just limited to the streaming platform's American arm — there are a handful of international romances too! Seriously Single

Fulu Mugovhani and Tumi Morake star in this rom-com that's about singledom as much as romance. After a breakup, a woman tries to lean into her best friend's encouragement to embrace the single life and live it up. Unfortunately for her, she just can't seem to stop obsessively checking on what her ex is up to on social media.

Desperados

A messy singleton (Nasim Pedrad) drunkenly sends a rambling email to a man she incorrectly thought had ghosted her, only to find out that he got into an accident and hasn't seen the message yet. Cue a trip to Mexico with her two best friends (Anna Camp and Sarah Burns), desperately trying to get the message deleted before he can see it and figuring out where she really should be looking for love.

The Half of It

One part low-key rom-com, one part coming-of-age dramedy, The Half of It focuses less on the literal romance and more on the heartfelt development of its heroine, Ellie, played by breakout star Leah Lewis. When she agrees to ghostwrite love notes to help a jock (Daniel Diemer) woo a popular girl (Alexxis Lemire), Ellie begins to realise her own feelings and learns a lot about love and growing up along the way.

Isi & Ossi

This German rom-com, starring Lisa Vicari and Dennis Mojen, puts a new twist on the old "fake dating" trope. Isi, a wealthy girl whose parents don't support her dreams of culinary school, and Ossi, a boxer who loses a sponsor after missing training to work a shift, team up to get what they both need. Their fake relationship means they start to get to know each other, and real feelings develop even as they try to keep it all about the money.

The Kissing Booth 2

Joey King [10] and Jacob Elordi [11] are back as teenage sweethearts Noah and Elle, whose relationship reaches its biggest test yet when Noah heads off to college while Elle stays behind for her senior year. Complicating matters further are Elle's dilemma over college decisions and the arrival of a charming new classmate (Taylor Zakhar Perez) who strikes up a connection with Elle.

A dating apps "guarantees" that users will find love, but when one man (Damon Wayans Jr.) goes on a thousand dates without a real connection, he decides to sue. The lawyer (Rachael Leigh Cook) he hires is in a similar single boat — could this lawsuit, ironically, be the way to love for both of them?

Love Wedding Repeat

The premise of this comedy, starring Sam Claflin and Olivia Munn, is simple on the surface: a man tries to help his sister's wedding go off without a problem, all while his long-held crush is there. The twist: we get to see several different scenarios of the wedding day play out, each one with its own complications.

The Lovebirds

Nothing delays a breakup quite like getting accidentally embroiled in a murder mystery! Watching this caper-meets-romance comedy, it's hard to believe Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani aren't the most popular rom-com leads in Hollywood right now — but at least we have this gem of a movie.

In this Hindi romance starring Prit Kamani and Shirley Setia, a young man throws off plans to take over his family's business in order to pursue an acting career. Over time, he begins to realise that the life of an actor isn't as easy as he thought, especially when he begins to fall in love with a down-to-earth photographer.

Rich in Love

The son of a wealthy businessman (Danilo Mesquita) takes a job working incognito at his father's company. What he doesn't expect is to fall in love with one of his coworkers (Giovanna Lancellotti) and, worried about what she'll think, he invents a totally different background for himself — which, of course, slowly tumbles out of control.

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

Noah Centineo and Lana Condor return as Netflix's most beloved onscreen couple in this sequel. Settling into a real relationship proves trickier than it seems for Peter and Lara Jean. Things only get more tangled with the arrival of John Ambrose McClaren (recast as Jordan Fisher [18]), the last recipient of Lara Jean's letters. As Lara Jean grows closer to John Ambrose, her relationship with Peter struggles, too.

Falling in love while dancing is a time-honoured trope because it's just so much fun! In this modern dance comedy starring Jordan Fisher [20] and Sabrina Carpenter, an overachieving high school senior starts a dance troupe to pad out her résumé for college. Along the way, she discovers a real talent and love for dance, plus a sparking connection with a young choreographer.
