All the Music We've Added to Our Playlists in November

26/11/2021 - 11:25 AM

November has finally arrived, and there's now just one thing on our minds: the Christmas [1] period. While we prepare for the darker days, the cosier nights, and the festive celebrations, we are continuing to find new ways to get through this bizarre year — with listening to great new music being one of them.

With so many songs set to be released this month (and this year, undoubtedly), it can be hard to keep track of who's doing what. Well, that's where we come in. Every month, we round up the best of the best tracks from the UK music scene. Whether it's another one of Little Mix's greatest hits [2] or a TikTok bop from PinkPantheress, we've got the songs to see you through this new month.

Just a few days into November, we've had a garage banger from Tinie Tempah's protege Lost Girl on repeat, a brand-new project from Katy B just released, and more music is still to come. Read on to discover the tracks that made it onto our November playlists.

"Real Man" by Kali Claire

South London singer-songwriter Kali Claire just released a brand new mixtape, A Man's World, and "Real Man" is the first single to drop. It's a vibrant R&B track with pop undertones, and it'll make the perfect addition to any Christmas party playlist.

"Don't Let Me Lose You" by Liv Dawson

From the same artist that brought you the horrendously catchy "Painkiller", comes Liv Dawson's new single "Don't Let Me Lose You". Another gorgeous rendition Dawson's sugary-sweet vocals, the track fuses relatable lyrics with subtle pop sounds.

"Can't Be Wrong" by Maverick Sabre

The comeback single from seasoned artist Maverick Sabre, "Can't Be Wrong" is a delightfully sombre offering. Almost jazz-like at times, the song is taken from his upcoming project, Don't Forget to Look Up, set to drop in Jan. 2022.

"London's Burning" by Poppy Ajudha

"London's Burning" is the soulful new single from Londoner Poppy Ajudha. Fusing distinctive vocals with glitchy instrumentals, the song acts as a commentary on the impact of immigration on British culture, and marks the first single from Ajudha's upcoming debut album The Power In Us.

"You’re Not Harry Styles" by Dylan

Dylan's new track, aptly named "You're Not Harry Styles", is a fun hyper-pop single filled with confident lyrics, flowing chords, and vocals reminiscent of an edgier Taylor Swift [3].

"Shakedown" by Master Peace

The latest offering from British punk rapper Master Peace is exhilarating, confusing, and catchy all at the same time. Accompanied by a dizzying video, the track is definitely one for the gym playlist.

"Lay Low" by Katy B

"Lay Low" is the newest release from comeback queen Katy B, and already we're very here for it. Taken from her latest EP, Peace & Offerings, the track is a jazzy, sultry single with velvety-smooth vocals and some truly glorious instrumentation.

"Daffodil" by Finn Askew

"Daffodil" is one of the more sombre tunes we've heard from Finn Askew, and honestly, it comes as quite a nice surprise. The track beautifully showcases the 20-year-old's musical range and distinctive vocals, alongside some very soothing piano sounds.

"Between Us" by Little Mix

"Between Us" [4] is very much the song that we expected to hear from Little Mix at this point in time. Taken from their greatest-hits album [5] of the same name (due to release this month), the track is a pop ballad all about their unbreakable bond and strong friendship.

"Pineapple Pizza" by Chaii

Chaii is a Persian-Kiwi artist with a pretty distinctive sound and an undeniably hypnotic flow. Her new release "Pineapple Pizza" comes from her debut EP, and it's seemingly about comparing the controversial topping to someone she's dating. Unlike pineapple on pizza (in our humble opinion), this track is definitely worth a try.

"New Shapes" by Charli XCX feat. Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek

Charli XCX [6] is on a roll, and she's showing no signs of slowing down. Her latest release, "New Shapes", is the ultimate glitter-pop collaboration, featuring Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek, and it makes for a truly uplifting listen.

"Forever" by Lost Girl

Lost Girl, 22, was first discovered on Instagram by Tinie Tempah back in 2017. Since then she's performed at Reading and Leeds and Wireless Festival and supported former Love Island contestant Wes Nelson on his UK tour, and she's currently touring with Dappy and Not3s. Her latest single, "Forever", is a catchy garage anthem for the new age. It's fresh off her newly released EP, Est 1999.
