During the first three seasons of Riverdale [1] a lot happened for everyone who lives in the town with pep, but Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) have definitely been through the ringer a few more times than most. Like their BFFs Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), they have had a whirlwind romance [2] and lots of sweet, but complicated times together. While their lives aren't in anyway "normal" they do show what it's really like to fall in love in high school and based on their chemistry we have a feeling it's going to continue to be both rocky and wonderful between them for the foreseeable future.
Varchie, which is the pair's cute couple name, is a duo unlike any other. They build each other up, and are always there to support one another. Whether that means Arch fighting off V's dad, or Veronica building Archie up before a boxing match, they've got each other's backs. They each have a complicated family dynamic [3], which brings them closer to one another, and above all else, they are the ultimate cheerleaders for their friends at Riverdale [4] High. Together they are badass and totally fierce. Plus, their sexy love life is red-hot almost 100 percent of the time, which we have to admit is pretty great.

Season 1, Ep. 1: That Very First Look
From the moment black-haired vixen Veronica Lodge entered Pop's Diner, Archie Andrews was a goner. He might've been talking to his BFF Betty Cooper, who was going to tell him she wanted to be more than friends, but his attention was on the new girl in town and it never really left her.
Season 1, Ep. 1: Seven Minutes in Heaven
After going to semi-formal with both Betty and Veronica, things get steamy at the afterparty at Cheryl's house. Despite the fact that B and V are instant friends, when playing Seven Minutes in Heaven, Veronica lays a big kiss on Archie and the rest is history . . . kind of.
Season 1. Ep. 5: Nurse Veronica for the Win
When Archiekins gets hurt and needs an arm cast, who is there to kiss it and make it better? Ronnie of course!
Season 1, Ep. 6: Talent Show Support
A lot happens in this episode and it's all surrounding the talent show. After messing up his audition, Veronica pulls some strings to get Archie a spot in the show. She even offers to sing with him, but when she gets to rehearsal he is flirting and practicing with former Pussycat, Valerie. In the end, Archie performs alone, after making up with Veronica, and he focuses on her to avoid getting scared on stage, which is adorable.
Season 1, Ep. 10: When Archie and Veronica Get Closer
During Jughead's birthday bash, Veronica opens up to Archie about her troubles with her father and his past and they instantly connect. They talk on the couch for hours and clearly are on their way to being close again, since they also make out. Then, Veronica wakes up in the morning in Archie's bed, with him on an air mattress, because he's a gentleman.
Season 1, Ep. 11: When Archie and Veronica Team Up and Make Out
With tensions high between the two friends and wannabe lovers, Veronica tries her hardest to put distance between her and Archie, but she can't help herself. She turns to him for help breaking into FP's trailer to search for evidence, and of course they kiss and it's great. They also help prove that FP is innocent, proving that together they are a good team.
Season 1, Ep. 13: The Couple Take Their Relationship to the Next Level
Things seem to be calming down a bit towards the end of season one, which we should've known was a lie, but for a moment all was right in Riverdale [7]. In this brief moment, after Archie reveals that he wants their romance to be like Bughead, the couple take their romance to the next level by having sex at Ronnie's place where she says, "We've had this date with each other from the very beginning, Archiekins." PS: It is super hot.
Season 2, Ep. 1: Veronica Cares For Archie After the Shooting
Boy oh boy is this episode jam-packed. After Archie's dad is shot at the end of season one, Veronica rushes to his side to help through the trauma. She takes Archie back to his house to get Fred Andrews clothes and makes Archie shower, where she joins him (wearing only her pearls), which is super hot. This event also brings the couple closer together as Archie leans on Veronica while he tries to heal.
Season 2, Ep. 4: Veronica Saves the Day as Archie Battles in the Rain
As Archie forms the Red Circle to fight the Black Hood, who attacked his father, Veronica is there to support him. She doesn't love that he's fighting but she has his back. In fact, when he goes to fight the Southside Serpents she gets the gun she claimed she threw out for him earlier and heads to the rumble spot to put an end to the fight by shooting it in the air. She then cares for Archie, because she is a really good girlfriend.
Season 2, Ep. 8 : Archie Says, “I Love You”
Varchie might be the sexiest couple on Riverdale [8] and it's in part due to how sexy they are together and the fact that they are constantly hooking up. This is definitely the case during this episode where they have sex in various places in her house. Then, while laying on a fur rug Archie says, "I love you, Ronnie." She doesn't say it back but it is still a happy moment for Varchie lovers.
Season 2, Ep. 9: A Christmas Reconciliation
After breaking up because Veronica doesn't think she can love Archie as much as he loves her, Christmas approaches and Veronica gives Archie a gift. She then secretly pays for Fred's hospital bills from her parents' money, because she's a keeper. Archie on the other hand magically gets a heart locket into Veronica's house for Christmas and after she opens it she heads to his house, mistletoe in hand, and the two make up. Oh, she finally says she loves her Archiekins.
Season 3, Ep. 1: When Archie Heads to Juvie
The season three premiere begins with Archie going to trial for murder (Hiram has framed him), which is heartbreaking. What's even more sad is the last few hours that he has to spend with his BFFs and his girlfriend. They have a bittersweet conversation where Archie tells Veronica not to visit him in juvie, but she vows not to let her father ruin their relationship.
Season 3, Ep. 2: The Jailhouse Rock Scene
Veronica tries to plead with the judge numerous times on behalf of Archie while he's in juvie, but nothing seems to be working. So, when Arch decides to have a football game to raise everyone's spirits, Veronica shows up outside the gates and brings the River Vixens with her to cheer them on. It's freaking cute.
Season 3, Ep. 5: When Ronnie Breaks Archie Out of Jail
While in juvie, Archie is forced to fight in an underground fight club run by the warden and things get dangerous. In order to save her love, Veronica enlists the help of her friends to break him out and save him from death in the ring, which she does.
Season 3, Ep. 18: When Archie Gets a Boxing Buddy
A lot happens during season three that derails Veronica and Archie, like her hookup with Reggie and his romance with Josie, not to mention his time on the run and fighting for his life thanks to the bounty on his head. During this episode however, Ronnie proves she will always be in Archie's corner as she becomes the promoter for his new boxing gym, helps him gain weight and buys him a new uniform.
Season 3, Ep. 20: When They Gave Us Old-School Varchie Vibes
Once Veronica and Archie team up at the gym, their friendship seems to be getting back on track. Another light at the end of the tunnel is when the duo decides to go to prom together, as friends, and spark romance rumours among their friends.
