Something witchy is in the air, and the eldest Sanderson sister is definitely behind it. On Thursday, Oct. 1, Bette Midler — aka the Winifred Sanderson — will gather up her one-eyed book of spells and take us back to 1993 by live-tweeting [1] Hocus Pocus [2] when it airs as part of Freeforms's 31 Nights of Halloween [3]. Midler and Freeform are raising awareness for the New York Restoration Project [4], a nonprofit organisation that works to transform open space for communities in NYC by planting trees, restoring gardens, and renovating parks.
True fans of the classic Halloween [5] film can catch Midler's live tweets beginning on Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Freeform's Twitter account. In the meantime, test your Hocus Pocus [6] knowledge here, and hope that you get every question right, because Winnie is watching.
