All the New and Returning Cast Members For Bridgerton's Anticipated Second Season

The cast for Bridgerton [1] season two is already stacked! Though we're still sad that Regé-Jean Page won't be gracing our screens [2] as the Duke of Hastings, a handful of your favourite stars from season one will be reprising their fan-favourite characters [3], including Phoebe Dynevor [4]. Plus, there are plenty of new characters to get excited about. Since the new season revolves around Anthony Bridgerton [5]'s love story, Simone Ashley will be joining the cast [6] as the show's new leading lady. We're also going to meet the late Bridgerton [7] patriarch, Edmund Bridgerton. Perhaps his appearance, which we're assuming will be through flashbacks, will set up the recently-announced Bridgerton spinoff [8] featuring a young Queen Charlotte and Violet Bridgerton. Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma

Ashley will play the new lead [10] of this season and Anthony Bridgerton [11]'s love interest. Her character Kate is described as a "smart, headstrong young woman who suffers no fools."

Charithra Chandran as Edwina Sharma

Chandran will play Kate's younger sister who is described as "kind-natured and endlessly endearing [12]."

Shelley Conn as Mary Sharma

Conn will play Kate and Edwina's mother, who has returned to London [13] with her daughters following a family scandal.

Calam Lynch as Theo Sharpe

Lynch will play a printer's assistant [14] who is passionate about fighting for human rights for all.

Rupert Young as Jack

Young is playing a brand-new character who doesn't appear in the books. Though most details about his character are being kept under wraps, we do know that he has a connection to a notable family.

Rupert Evans as Edmund Bridgerton

Evans will play the late Bridgerton patriarch [15] in the upcoming season. Perhaps we'll learn more about the Bridgerton [16] family's backstory through flashbacks.
