Check Out All the Casts That Reunited at the 2022 Emmys

13/09/2022 - 04:55 AM

The 2022 Emmy Awards [1] saw some incredible wins [2], gorgeous red carpet looks [3], and memorable moments — including some very fun reunions between members of some of our favourite casts! Throughout the night, cast members from nominated shows mingled, walked the red carpet together, presented together, and just hung out and enjoyed TV's most glamorous night. This year, thanks to a new seating arrangement at the ceremony, many casts even got to sit together around round tables (or multiple tables, in the cases of the night's biggest casts), rather than lined up in more traditional rows.

The Emmys are a chance for casts that haven't seen each other in a while to catch up and casts that are currently in production [4] to take a break and get glammed up together. From years-ago shows reuniting [5] for a special shout-out to nominated casts cheering each other on, the Emmys were the perfect moment for some of our favourite costars to share fun moments with each other and with all of us. Read on to see just a few of the best cast reunions that happened at the Emmys this year!

"Ted Lasso" Cast

Phil Dunster and two-time best supporting actor winner Brett Goldstein joked around on the red carpet, striking silly poses for the cameras.

"Ted Lasso" Cast

Nominees Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein shared a hug inside the Emmys ceremony.

"Law and Order: SVU" Cast

Longtime "Law and Order" costars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni presented the award for lead actor in a comedy — and also teased the audience with a playful bit referencing their characters' decades of will-they-won't-they sexual tension.

"Good Burger" Cast

Emmys host Kenan Thompson reunited with his former "Kenan & Kel"/"Good Burger" costar Kel Mitchell during the ceremony. During one bit set at the theatre's bar, Thompson tapped someone on the shoulder, who "just happened" to be Mitchell, sharing a big hug before teasing a "Good Burger" sequel. [6]

"Squid Game" Cast

With 14 nominations, including several acting nods and a best drama nomination, the cast of "Squid Game [7]" attended the Emmys together. Oh Young-soo, Jung Ho-yeon, Hwang Dong-hyuk, Kim Ji-yeon, Lee Jung-jae, and Park Hae-soo posed on the red carpet together.

"Squid Game" Cast

"Squid Game [8]" stars Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon were nominated for individual Emmys, and they also reunited onstage to present the award for best variety sketch series.

"The Brady Bunch" Cast

Barry Williams, Mike Lookinland, Susan Olsen, Christopher Knight, and Eve Plumb — the remaining members of "The Brady Bunch" — attended the Emmys together and got a shoutout during Kenan Thompson's opening musical number. [9]

"The Brady Bunch" Cast

The cast of "The Brady Bunch" were recognised in the audience early in the Emmys broadcast.

"The Great" Cast

"Only Murders in the Building" Cast

The "Only Murders" trio of Steve Martin [10], Selena Gomez [11], and Martin Short attended the Emmys both as nominees (Martin and Short for best actor in a comedy, and the whole cast as best comedy series nominees), and as presenters. The trio presented the award for best variety talk series.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" Cast

Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle, who play a married couple on "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," posed together on the red carpet at the Emmys.

"The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" Cast

Ismaël Cruz Córdova, Markella Kavenagh, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson — stars of Prime Video's new "Lord of the Rings" series — attended the Emmys as presenters.
